"Gauntlet Legends in 2.5D"
Pros: Graphics and sounds are good, decent control
Cons: Same. Old. Thing.
Summary: How many times can the same game be rereleased? Gamers in their mid-20s or so will recall the old console/arcade game Gauntlet. Gauntlet and its successors were great games, but it's been about 15 years. I would've hoped the genre would evolve, not simply keep rereleasing the same games with better grahipcs.
Walk around killing enemies and gaining xp. As you gain levels, you gain hps, stats, and new abilities. Despite a few gaping holes in the plot (why are people from different universes all in the same place and time and working together?), the makers essentially did everything right. The problem is, they did nothing new. The game is almost identical to the older X-Men: Legends in feel and play, and XML was in turn similar to Champions of Norrath with less customization.
