"A solid action-RPG." on by LocNar0
Pros: 6 characters types, multiple skill sets to develop, character specific mini story lines; tons of enemies and bosses; enormous map with over 600 quests; huge amount of items to collect; a central hero chest that all your characters can use
Cons: Only 4 online players allowed in one game; occasional problems with skills not working all the time
Summary: Sacred 2 is a great action-item-RPG for those that love hack and slash, solve simple quests, and create multiple characters based upon skill creation and combos. There is no shortness of action; everywhere you go there are hordes of enemies. Sometimes you wonder if anyone is your friend as your hacking or slashing or destroying everything around you with magical spells. Given the 5 different difficulty levels, only 2 are open to new characters, you have ample time create and enjoy all of which the game has to offer while not feeling rushed to use up points too early just to get that modifyer for a skill. One drawback is that you cannot reset the skill points or skill choices; so choose wisely! The sheer amount of items is numbing; from common junk items to set items to uniques; you will be compelled to kill every living thing hoping to find that one special item to make you more godlike. The combos and combat arts [the action skills] are what sets the game apart from others. These skills can be modified for added effects. The ability to create very specialized characters is very Diablo 2ish. One last piece of this game that makes great sense is the 'hero chest'. These are found throughout the enormous map and allow you to store tons of items that any of your characters can use. No more needing a friend to swap out items. Overall, this game is as close to the Diablo style as there is. And that's a good thing.
