London's Apple Expo goes cross-platform?

A reader from across the Atlantic writes that, according to the latest copy of MacUser UK: "London's Apple Expo show at Olympia in November will this year become a cross-platform event under the new title 'Total Design Technology' with a sub-title of 'The MacUser Show.' Show organizers, EMAP, claim that the change comes as a result of pressure from the majority of exhibitors and from NT workstation hardware companies including Siemens Nixdorf, Intergraph and Compaq." Apple may withdraw from the show as a result. EMAP exhibition director, Tony Keefe, responded: "We're doing this show for 179 exhibitors whose market is moving on and we're not prepared to listen to one vendor, even if it is Apple."
