RAM Doubler 8: possible crashing problem, particularly with web browsers

CNET staff
While most people, including myself, are finding little or no problems with RAM Doubler 8 (once you get it successfully installed), several readers (almost a dozen so far) report an increased frequency of system crashes after installing the update. Problems appear particularly likely when trying to load Explorer and/or Navigator, but extend to other applications as well.

For example, one reader wrote: "Neither Navigator nor Explorer will launch in the presence of Ram Doubler 8. Disable 8 and they run fine." Tony Yao similarly reports: "My computer would completely lock up each time Internet Explorer was launched. Switching back from RAM Doubler 8 to 2.02 solved the problem."
