TechTool Pro 2 to ship March 17; can fix HFS volumes damaged by Norton

Jeff Baudin (of MicroMat) informs me that TechTool Pro 2 will ship March 17. This major upgrade, targeted to compete with Norton Utilities, "reached a milestone last week: we've figured out how Norton Disk Doctor damages HFS drives. TechTool Pro can now fix drives that were damaged with Norton. As you probably already know, NDD versions at and below 3.5.1 will attempt to repair an HFS drive. After 'repairing' quite a few items, the program quits and the drive is gone. Rebooting only yields a "This disk is unreadable message.' Disk First Aid can't fix the problem. TechTool Pro takes about 5 seconds to repair the problem. No recovery process necessary, it simply fixes the problems and the drive reappears."
