Canon Pixma MG5320

Printers
-Hi, I'm Justin Yu, associate editor for CNET.com with a first look at the Canon Pixma MG5320 photo printer. It's a worthwhile machine for families and work groups that print a lot of digital photos and you get plenty of new features like HD movie print, fun photo filters, and Pixma cloud upload, but we do have a few complaints. Before we get to that though, let's see what this printer offers. It takes a thinner shape that what we're used to see from Canon and foldable output paper trays reduce the overall footprint, so it's great for offices that don't have a lot of space to work around. The top of the printer has 3-inch LCD display with a scroll dial for surfing through the different application menus and you also get dual 250 sheet paper input trays on the front and the back of the unit that's especially convenient for amateur photographers because you can store standard 8.5 x 11 sheets in the drawer and save the top one just of photo paper. Setting up the printer is just as easy as using it and you have 2 connectivity options, standard USB and WiFi. Unfortunately though, there is no Ethernet port for wired networking in small offices. So, if that's a deal breaker for you, you may wanna consider the MG6120 that's the step up model from Canon that adds $50 to this tag. So, one of the photo centric features you get on the 5320, well the coolest one is HD movie print that lets pull still snap shots out of video shot with compatible HD kind of video canvas. You can also edit those images to prepare them for printing and you can even print custom disc and draw labels using this multipurpose tray that lives right inside the machine. Inside, you will also find the 5 separate ink cartridges that powered a tank, though canon's average cost per consumables are higher than the competitions, so you may find yourselves spending more money on ink than the actual hardware, which why we're little confused as to why cannon doesn't sell high capacity cards just for this model that helps high volume user save a box on it. Finally, the MG5320 perform well in our output speed and quality test. It didn't the destroy the competition necessarily, but we would not hesitate to flaunt its apple quality and a boardroom presentation or in a personal scrapbook and you can read all the details in our full review on CNET.com, but that's gonna do it for me. I'm Justin Yu, and you just took a first look at the Canon Pixma MG5320 multifunction photo printer. Thanks for watching.
