I'm Andrew Hoyle, CNET, and I'm here taking a look at the DJI Phantom 3, the latest consumer drone from DJI that's been given a significant boost to let it shoot 4K video as well as fly indoors.
Now physically, as you can see, it's very similar to the previous model with its four rotors on top.
But there are a whole bunch of updates to take note of.
The pro model is now able to shoot at 4K resolution, at framerates up to 30 frames a second.
You will still see, of course, the stabilizing gimbal underneath, which helps.
Gives nice smooth video when you're flying through the air.
On the base of the unit you'll see this new shot.
Now this has 2 sensors that actually let it scan the ground.
What that does is allow you to fly indoors with the same stability that you'll find outdoors.
The video feed will still stream to your phone or your tablet which will match on the controller.
The controller itself is very similar to before as well.
So existing drone users will find every bit as easy to fly.
You will notice on the corners though there are some camera controls letting you change the camera settings while the drone is in the air.
The app has had an update as well, giving you manual camera control as well as the ability to, to quickly share your videos that you've just shot, or even broadcast live to YouTube.
You'll still find features like a fail safe return to home if the battery runs out and you can expect to get around 20 to 23 minutes of flight time from a single charge.
The pro model that comes with the 4k video will set you back 1,159 pounds, while the advanced model, which has 1080p video recording,will cost a little less at eight nine nine.
Both models are available for preorder right now and will be shipping towards the end of April.
