Google Assistant's new interpreter mode erases language barriers at CES 2019

Okay, Google, Spanish interpreter. Okay, let's start. I'm here at CES in Las Vegas, in the famous Cesar's casino and I'm testing out the new feature on Google Assistant of language interpretation. Now, you might have used Google Translate before, but this is a new experience that gets baked into Google Assistant and it's designed to make it Super easy to translate common phrases and maybe less common phrases. The reason it's at a hotel is because you're quite likely to have a lot of international visitors and they want to be able to translate common phrases, things like where should I go for dinner, where are the directions to the nearest bathroom, and then spit out a phrase. So, I'm gonna try it out. Hey, Google. [SOUND] Chinese interpreter. [SOUND] Alright let's get started. [SOUND] How do I get to Fremont Street from here? [MUSIC] [SOUND] [FOREIGN] Okay and where's the best Elvis impersonator? [FOREIGN]. Okay, luckily they're both on Fremont Street. It's going to be coming out to Google devices soon. And the idea is to get this sort of thing hopefully in hotels around the world. At least that's Google's plan. So we're testing it out now, she'll probably tell her to stop translating now. [MUSIC]
