Moto Z2 Force gets all the upgrades, and you can drop it too

So how much is it worth to you to have a phone you can drop?
The Moto Z2 Force is the shatter resistant newest edition to Motorola's Modular Z phones.
Last year Z Force also had a shatter resistant screen called shatter shield, but was thicker and heavier.
This version's as thin as the iPhone 7, but is made to be dropped.
As long as you're okay with the way it looks afterwards.
We dropped it from around four to five feet off the ground.
The screen didn't shatter but it definitely messed up the look of the finish.
Z24 has a great specs.
A fast Qualcomm Snap Dragon 835 Processor, Quad HD 5.5 inch OLED.
It's Google D Dream VR compatible too.
The front fingerprint sensor and home navigation touchpad is nice and compact, and there's the rear 12 megapixel dual cameras, which add extra black and white modes, and depth of field modes, like you can get on the Google Pixel, LG G6 and iPhone 7 Plus.
The results vary, but you have to pay over $700 for the Z2Force, putting it in a similar premium territory as other top end phones.
The more affordable Z2 Play cuts a few corners, but it comes in at $500, and it also has a bit better battery life.
You also have to consider what mods you want, if any.
Most of Moto's modular snap on attachments that work with the Z24's are clever and unnecessary.
There are battery packs, rear covers, and some wilder ideas like speakers, a mini projector, and a new 360 degree camera.

But you could buy a lot of these things separately for other phone that do pretty much the same thing.
And some, like the 360 degree camera, are expensive.
Around $300.
The Z2 Force is a great feeling phone, and it's got all the things I'd need plus a pretty clean version of Android 7.1.1.
Just keep in mind, phone season is just getting started.
Samsung's note eight, the next iPhone, and the google pixel two rumors all of them are lurking.
And could be similarly priced too, it's display may be the most drop friendly but that doesn't mean that this phone wants to be dropped.
And it doesn't mean that it's dunk friendly rated for splashes only.
This is a phone that you can ding but not dent.
