Pokemon Go gets a gang of new Pokemon, plus Christmas Pikachu
Niantic has announced that new Pokemon are finally coming to Pokemon Go.
The developers confirmed Pichu and Togepi, but didn't give anything away about the other Pokemon, but players on Reddit have already worked out four others.
The new game is made up of baby versions of already available Pokemon.
[UNKNOWN], [UNKNOWN], [UNKNOWN], and [UNKNOWN].
Players will need to hatch eggs to get them, so the games strongest mechanic, walking, continues to feature prominently.
The Go team says these are the first of many Pokemon coming over the next few months.
In an effort to spread some holiday cheer, from now until December 29th players will be able to catch special Christmas edition Pikachus.
They're pretty much [UNKNOWN].
Since launching in July the game has been downloaded half a billion times, but a bare bones experience meant without much to do it wasn't long before players began leaving in droves.
The PokemonGo team has been working hard to bring players back, rolling out new functionality as well as partnering with companies like Sprint to turn stores into Pokestops and gyms.
But will it be enough to keep people playing.
