Samsung Galaxy Note: street view
Hey, guys.
This is Brian Bennett at CNET.com and we just got our hands on the news.
Samsung Galaxy Note.
This Hybrid device combines a phone and a Tablet and also costs 299 on AT&T's network.
We're gonna find out just what people think about it and if they can use in everyday life.
So here it is.
This is the device.
It has a big 5 inch screen and what do you think?
Is it too big?
Is it.
It's kinda light though.
Yeah.
It's a little bit on the big side, just a little bit.
You know, it feels like a VCR.
I mean, do you think something like that would be too big to kinda pull out and actually use in public?
Let me if I could fit it in my jeans.
Hold on.
It fits.
It fits?
It fits in your jeans, that's pretty amazing.
That's pretty impressive.
We are checking out the device.
What do you think of this?
It's larger than life.
It feels light.
A cross with something, you know, a cellphone and Tablet 'cause of the size.
Unless I'm wearing a suit and tie, it doesn't really seem visible though.
I live by this philosophy, if it can't fit in my pocket, I don't need it.
Right.
Have you tried putting it in your pocket.
Maybe we should just see.
Back pocket is a little dangerous though.
Maybe.
Now, see.
This is not gonna work.
Like, that's the wrong type of bulge.
Right.
In my jeans.
What do you think of this device.
I know you have a Samsung Galaxy, the first one right?
This is now the Galaxy Note which has a big screen.
It's like five inches, over five inches.
What do you think?
Is it too big, too small?
I mean it is a little big but I wouldn't mind having it.
I would totally purchase it.
So you like Android right.
Yeah, I do.
I like the system and I like the fact that it has a bigger screen because I'm always having to catch myself trying to zoom in like I didn't wanna purchase the Tablet because I thought it was too big to carry.
I think this size would be perfect.
It fits in my purse.
I can use it as phone and a computer.
What do you think man?
Yeah, when you pulled it out, I actually thought it was a tablet at first.
It kinda looked like a. in between a Tablet or like an e-reader or something.
So I didn't even knew it was a phone.
So.
Yeah.
Now what's crazy too is, if underneath here, if you pull that out, that's a stylus.
Yes.
Oh man, you know, I'm not that big of a stylus person.
Why?
Why?
What's wrong with the stylus?
Like is it just too old, too old school like you know, reminds you of old products back in the day or just.
It kinda does you know, 'cause now it's just one more thing we need you know.
One more thing we gotta pull out.
One more thing we gotta use and.
Would you be tempted to move from your iPhone and Tablet and kinda combine into one device?
Oh man, I have to say I wouldn't be able to do that.
When I condense these two into this, I don't know because I don't always want a big screen, sometimes I like it being small.
Right.
So you don't want something that's in between small and big?
You want.
Not as practical for me
