The ZTE Axon brings the same stylish design to slightly smaller budgets

Think of the ZTE Axon as a sort of entry level alternative to ZTE Axon Pro. It's got a slightly lower resolution display and a slower processor but it'll cost less too. [UNKNOWN] with cnet and today we're looking at the latest entry level model in ZTE's Axon lineup. The hardware in the ZTE Axon is pretty much identical to the ZTE Axon Pro. We did in the same strong, solid build. The same Hi-Fi audio playback is through the headphone jack, thanks to a pair of dedicated audio chips, and using the same cameras, too. There's an 8 Megapixel camera on the front and a pair of cameras on the rear. Now these pairs work together to capture the fill depth of field in your image. So you can shift focus on the fly later on. And the camera's up for 14 video recordings. Here's what's new. The Axon runs a 4-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, has a 1080p display as opposed to [UNKNOWN] and only has 2GB RAM & 32 GB storage. But the price drops to $329 from $399 for the Axon Pro or $449 if you're getting the Axon Pro with 64 GB of storage. And that's the ZTE Axon. You're losing some of the processing power that gets seen in the Axon Pro, but you're paying less and you're still getting the same great finish.
