I'm Dan Ackerman, and we're here taking a look at Toshiba's Encore Mini.
This is a seven inch screen, full Windows 8 tablet.
Toshiba already makes an eight inch version and a ten inch version.
Why would you want a seven inch?
Super small, super portable.
You know, the specs are a little lower than the higher-end tablets.
It's got an Intel Atom Processor, 1024 by 600 screen.
Touch screen seems to work fine on the Windows 8 Start menu.
If you really want to, you can go back to the you know, traditional desktop.
I'm not sure that would be super useful on such a small system.
It's more.
Designed for that.
It kind of tiles you right there.
The real kicker here is it's $119.
You'll probably see it on sale this holiday season for $99.
I think you'll see a lot of smaller Windows tablets hitting 99 bucks.
Which makes it a much more reasonable alternative.
To IOS or Android or other operating system tablets.
You can just stick with full Windows and get all that functionality.
And access all those Windows apps.
That you can't get on those other platforms.
