Microsoft's versatile, thoughtful Wedge Mobile Keyboard
Hi I'm rich Brandt senior editor for CNET they're gonna take a look at the Microsoft -- mobile keyboard.
-- this is a new eighty dollar keyboard from Microsoft it's pretty expensive but it's also one of the best tablet keyboards that we've seen.
So it's got a nice clean look here you see is rubber case on top stand -- in the back seats at metal backing.
The case have to serves a couple purposes when -- on that -- shuts off automatically.
Take it off. Its use the keyboard pretty straightforward design here.
In the case also doubles as a stand for tablet.
Submit a sample -- iPad here.
Works and landscape.
Portrait mode.
And what's nice about it is it -- -- Bluetooth so it'll work with pretty much anything that supports Bluetooth.
And the standard is designed so it'll work with pretty much any tablet as well as any tablet case --
So for that keyword itself detects it pretty small designed for and other mobile keyboards. But sold pretty satisfied type on.
It has a nice sturdy feel to it -- on a desk.
I keys are nice and responsive. -- gets its -- in part from this -- in the bottom side -- that serves a couple purposes first gives it some elevation which is useful.
It also has the batteries and isn't nice is I'm behind Nat.
-- this but out here.
-- -- -- slides out takes two triple --
With a convenient design feature for travelers is that the -- doesn't actually come out of the keyboard entirely stays right in there in pop batteries and with no problem.
-- -- --
Over here in the side of the wedge -- the Bluetooth connection button you'll hold that down for three seconds or so when you get that connect to relate here letting you know that it's ready to pair up.
So with windows eight -- away from Microsoft this is designed with a new operating system and not you see the new windows eight logo button here.
Pulls up -- -- for hot keys to windows eight's charm buttons which -- you do certain specific features.
Like searching sharing and some others.
Some say this is on the best tablet key -- we've seen because its stand is so simple for one thing and the size this thing makes it really pretty easy to travel.
So a couple of the keywords here for comparison we have that Apple wireless keyboard they may be familiar with -- -- iPad or an OS-X device.
Using it -- -- sup -- is about the same length but it's also thinner from top to bottom and here we have a Logitech tablet keyboard for iPad.
This is -- nice key -- but it's a little bit bigger here also. And this case is not quite as intuitive as this one.
And it's just sort of a little -- hero world.
One other feature about the -- -- that you may appreciate it take -- case.
The -- on here.
In the way it again if you take your tablet he would on the wedge acts as sort of a convenient carrying -- -- -- -- and you can --
Trotted around to the next meeting however indicated to devices that -- --
So eighty -- again this is pretty expensive but it's also really reversal and just simply works well with any device we --
So overall I can recommend this without reservation -- brown this is the Microsoft -- mobile.
